Hillend Guest Suite: Self catering holiday accommodation in Moffat, Scotland.

Moffat sits amid beautiful scenery, and although the A74(M) is always busy, most of the roads in the area carry little traffic but please remember to ride or drive with care. Other vehicles do use these roads and sometimes so do local livestock and wild animals, including our red squirrels and rare wild goats.

The routes included on this page offer an introduction, they are not fully detailed, other literature can give further detail.

Motorcycling

The quieter, sweeping and sometimes challenging roads around the area makes this a haven for motorcyclists. Just over the border, then only a short distance from the motorway and you are on some excellent motorcycling roads.

All the routes printed above are just as good to use on two wheels but there are many other routes to explore in the area, then where you stop is up to you.
